Aankhon ka rang, baat ka lehja badal gaya,
Woh shakhs aik shaam main kitna badal gaya,

Kuch din to mera aks raha aaine pe naqsh,
Phir youn huwa ke khud mera chehra badal gaya

Jab apnay apnay haal pay hum tum na reh sakay,
To kiya huwa jo hum say zamana badal gaya,

Qadmon talay jo rait bichhi thi woh chal pari,
Us nay chhuraya haath to sehra badal gaya

Koi bhi cheez apni jageh par nahin rahi
Jaatay hi aik shakhs kay, kiya kiya badal gaya

Ek sarkhushi ki moj nay kaisa kiya kamal
Wo bay-niaaz saara ka saara badal gaya

Uth kar chala gaya koi waqfay kay darmiaan
Parda utha to saara tamasha badal gaya

Hairat say saaray lafz usay dekhtay rahay
Baaton main apni baat ko kaisay badal gaya
