Aa gayee manzil-e-dushwar bhi chalte chalte
thak gaya ab tou dil-e-zaar bhi chalte chalte

dil mein ab aur nayee tarz ke gham palte hain
peeche chor aaye tera pyar bhi chalte chalte

zikr kis ka ye howa bazm mein touba touba
tham gayee waqt ki raftar bhi chalte chalte

uski galyon ke chalo rasm-e-wafa ki khatir
choom aate dar-o-deewar hi chalta chalte

zad-e-rah ke liye kafi hai teri yaad mujhe
hota jayee tera deedar bhi chalte chalte

zeezt ik pal ke sahare hi guzar jati magar
too ne dekha nahi ik bar bhi chalte chalte
