agar aur jitey rahatey yahi intazaar hota

terey vadey par jiye ham to ye jaan jhooth jana
ke khushi sey mar na jatey agar aitabaar hota

teri nazuki sey jana k bandha tha ahed_bouda
kabhi too na tor sakata agar ustavar hota

koi mery dil se poochey terey tir-e-nimakash ko
ye khalish kahan se hoti jo jigar ke paar hota

ye kahan ki dosti hai ke bane hain dost naseh
koi charasaz hota, koi Gam_gusaar hota

rag-e-sang se tapakata wo lahoo k phir na thamata
jisey gham samajh rahey ho ye agar sharar hota

Gham agarche jaan_gusil hai, per kahan bachen ke dil hai
Gham-e-ishq gar na hota, Gam-e-rozagar hota

kahoon kis se main ke kiya hai, shab-e-gham buri bala hai
mujhe kiya bura tha marana agar aik baar hota

hoye mar ke ham jo rusava, hoye kiyon na garq-e-dariya
na kabhi janaza uthata, na kahin mazar hota

ye masail-e-tasavwuf, ye tera bayan 'Ghalib'
tujhe ham wali samajhatey, jo na bada_khuwar hota
