kya toota hai andar andar, kyon chehra kumlaya hai,
Tanha Tanha ronewalon, kaun tumhe yaad aaya hai
chupke chupke sulag rahe thay yaad mein unki deewane
ek taare ne toot ke yaaron, kya unko samjhaya hai?
rang birangi is mehfil mein tum kyon itne chup chup ho,
bhool bhi jao pagal logon, kya khoya kya paya hai
shair kahan hai, khoon hai dil ka, jo lafzon mein bikhra hai
dil ke zakhm dikha kar humne, mehfil ko garmaya hai
Ab shehzad yeh jhoot na bolo, woh itna be-dard nahi,
apni chahat ko bhi parkho, gar ilzaam lagaya hai
