Post ____ When the lightening Strikes ____

When you get stuck, in a time zone...where time itself is dispensable...what would you do?

She asked me once, and i thought, it's just one of those things that you shouldn't ever bother to ear. And now, those words echo in my ear like a record which has been left into a repeat mode...and it does come back..again and again...a haunted sensation.

If i would have ever kept a log, of all those questions that were thrown at my face, which were always be there to be answered, which were always there, standing in my way, looking at my approach...looking deep at my baffled face, i know exactly, what i have missed...in life.

We are runners...we like to run, we like to shut our eyes, never look back and shoot off. It's the gravity of the inevitable that attracts us and eventually bring us back to those moments, where there were questions to be answered...but we chose to run, rather than stick around...we chose to neglect, rather then than pay attention...and end up...being like this...being what we are...runners...perh aps in a more diversified term...'COWARDS'.

Why!...I don' know...i really have no clue...but then again...those voices echo...their pitch level increases, until you hear nothing but them...until you hear nothing, but their questions...until the end of your existence.

And here in my arms, where she lays...for now...Lies the diligence soul. I can't say that i did nothing to stop it from happening...but then, what more could a mortal do, when things are decided way...way up...up there between those stars and skies...up there beyond our limited imagination. Yes, far, far away...

And yet, i can't say that i did what i had to.

The sound, that sound...was immense, and the impact...more powerful than any one could have imagined. Death would have been instant...but somehow, her last breath took a while to relieve. Somehow, the suffering was more unnatural than it seemed. Somehow, i got away...not even a scratch.

The curse had since loomed over my shoulders...like an eagle waiting for it's pray to let loose and that would be the right moment, to hunt. But then, i would have never known, had I!

They say that chaos, is a time, where there's no time for any one to grasp for. And yes, i was struck in the same chord. They say that, when it happens, it's lightening fast, and you can't do anything about that....Like love...like hate....like any other emotion, like any other flow...and it's a crash...a bang...and the rest is all but history.

Now, looking at her bruised face and limbless body, i felt as if i have suffered the shock of entire humanity. I don't know what went around me, my ears were as aloof as my whole existence...but certainly, my mind was more than preoccupied. I had something to do, but can't figure out what? And Why? And if anything, then... HOW!

I told her, several times, these days...not to run to the shop across the street...plain and simple. These days, when the sirens of war looms around the nearest corner...it was the most absolute advice i could ever pass to a child...and a child that i knew and i had cared for...but nothing stops when something is bound to happen...doesn't it?

I am still holding her incised body, and am wondering...what have we come to? With life and death holding hands in hands, i was still wondering, what sin could any one have ever committed, just by being born, as Arab!

And i was still wondering, while i dug her grave and sat by her for a while...what more can we need to avert our soul-less lives. But eventually, it was a shot out of the galaxy. I think, we rather not dwell into such a discussion, as it's a far...very far cry...and it's not happening...not in this century.

Sometimes after that tragic incident, i wished if i could get my hands and filth them with some one's blood...But it turned out that, they are never coming in. Thanks to this advanced warfare technology, i am never ever going to red my hands in my enemies blood...

And since then...I am sleepless. If i die tomorrow, i have no message to give, nor any one to give a word or two, to no one in condolence. Yes...i am a no one. Just an ordinary guy...calling out from Lebanon...singing with the dazzling sounds of rockets and bombs...sleeping in the shocking relief of disaster and twilight of debacle. And yet, am seeking nothing at all...

Except for some people to get out of their miseries, and wake up.

Yes, i am destined for a terrible ending...but you my friends...are into it without any grief or irony. When that indecent and crude lightening strikes...believe me...

You guys will still be smiling.

Smiling like true Muslims.

Well, the smiling part in the end...is actually the ironic jesture...if u can read further before that phrase..you would know that the writer is actually MOCKING their being THE JUST Muslims...means...th ey so called Muslims would still be smiling and carefree...when those deamons will come to haunt them.

Allahji............. . probably I am bit too blunt .......... or just don't know how to comment on a literary stuff. The comment was for you, not for the writer alone. I have been reading your 'maan ki goad ......' after that I read this ....... lost and shoked ............ then surprised, how you feel so deep and strong, after writing all this and still can smile ........ for me it is hard to breathe, if I just read such few articles a day!
