*~*Winners of November and December (2004)poetry contest *~*

We received very beautiful and impressive contributions in the month of November ; the topic was Death the last awakening. Let me announce the name of the winners.

Sherie_sweetie is the winner with 10 votes /rose

And

Pucca is the runner up with 7 votes. /rose

I would like to appreciate our new member Gangster as a rising talent of the month /clap5

In the month of December we had topic Mother's Love and we received only one beautiful contribution from Spider Boy, so with an apology for not announcing the result before, here i would like to congratulate Spider Boy as the winner of the December poetry contest /rose

The Legend of Death

Oh life fly, go away the blissful days of yore
Let me reside in the loving arms of darkness
The nestling peace and the calm of queer folklore
Let me stride the horse of mirthless happiness

Dead is the sun of life, aglow the moon
Ashen is every facet with untold gloom
Let death take me in her lap let that happen
Gone is life and the joy's foam

It&#8217 a strange abysmal rendezvous
Neither feeling nor passion nor love nor leisure
Overtake me just a new born's pleasure
How can have you its measure?

Weep not oh my friend I am gone
How will I come back to thee
Death the wretched , ugly hag
Wraps me in her protective lap

Capitulated by the death's loveless mine
Encastled in her powerful shrine
I tremble and shiver, tumble and rumble
Like a poor silver bird in golden prison

Lingering pathos in the air
Shinning stars with flair
Mourning sky and dying moon
Shed not thy tears for me, the forlorn

Gone am I and with me all life
Life was calamity death eternal bliss
Mourn not thou shinning Venus bright
Contended am I on my plight.

Its not suffering its not the end
Its another life , beginning of its kind
Oh weep not for me I am not dead
Its not the grand finale but another legend

Death

my eternity
my destiny
this is where I should be; sleeping in the grave
peacefully
forever
away from all the sorrows
away from the hardships of life
from this mortal world-forever
do not cry
just bury me deep
inside the cold grave
lay my soul there
so I rest in peace
when the angel of death is there
he shall awaken me
some queries of the life long begone
what did i do all my life
shall i answer, or should i still have silence as my companion
just don't cry for me
for i am at peace

Do not fear me,
Do not be scared,
I am your best friend,
I'll always be here,
I know all your pains,
I know all your wounds,
You will know who i am,
You will Know it soon,
I dont know why,
Most of you are afraid of me,
When i am the last person,
Whome with u'll every be,
I am in water,
I am in air,
My second home is earth,
So do not be Scared,
Mortal to mortal,
Even Im-mortals are afraid of me,
Who i am,
I am DEATH,
Every one should believe in me.

MOM

Finding asylum in your arms,
I always feel safe,
When I am with you mom,
You have always loved me,
Told every one that I am your good son,
Your hug heals my every pain,
When ever I am down,
You are always there to tell me,
Son just look up,
You have always picked me up,
You thought me how to walk,
You thought me how to talk,
You were awake all night,
When I was ill,
You have always congratulated me on my wins,
People say angles are in heaven,
I don�t agree,
Moms are angels from heaven on earth,
They make as feel special,
They teach us how to stand up,
My mom is my angle,
And she is from earth,
I love you mom �
