kahin chand rahon mien kho gaya kaheen chandani bhi bhatak gaye
main charag wo bhi bujha hua meri raat kaise chamak gaye

meri dastaan ka urooj tha teri narm palakon ki chaaon mein
mere sath tha tujhe jagna teri ankh kaise jhapak gaye

kabhi ham mile to bhi kya mile wahi dooriyan vahi fasle
na kabhi hamare qadam barhe na kabhi tumhari jhijhak gaye

tujhe bhool jane ki koshishen kabhi qamayab na ho sakin
teri yaad shaaKh-e-gulab hai jo hava chali to lachak gaye
