iss per sitam yeh hai ussey yaad aa raha hoon main

haan uss ke naam main ne koi khat nahin likha
kya uss ko yeh likhoon ke lahoo thookta hoon main?

karb-e gham-e shaoor ka darmaan nahin sharaab
ye zehr be asar hai issey pi chuka hoon main

ae zindagi bata ke sar-e jada-e shabaab
ye kon kho gaya hai, kisse dhoondta hoon main?

ae wehshato! mujhe ussi waadi mein le chalo
ye kon log hain, ye kahan aa gaya hoon main?

sher o shaoor aur ye shehr-e shumar-o shor
bas aik qarz hai jo ada kar raha hoon main

main ne gham-e hayaat mein tujh ko bhula diya
husn-e wafa sha'ar buhut be wafa hoon main

ishq aik sach tha tujh se jo bola nahin kabhi
ishq ab wo jhoot hai jo buhut bolta hoon main

dunya mere hujoom ki aashob gah hai
aur apne iss hujoom mein tanha khara hoon main
