Dil ke dharkan teri aawaz ka dhoka ban kar
umer bhar saath rahee chalawa ban kar

zakhm hii zakhm diye thay mujhe jin logo ne
ab chalay aaye wohi log maseeha ban kar

dil ke zakhmo main kahan aisee chamak thi pehly
kaun aaya mere khwabon main ujala ban kar

kab talak koi bachaye ga mata-e- dil-o-jaan
ajnabi loot hii letay hain shanasa ban kar

har koi apne saleeb apne hi shano per rakhe
phirta hai sheher ke galion main tamasha ban kar

kis ne ye raat ke deevaar gira de Haider
kaun aaya yahan noor ka dhaara ban kar?
