chalo naa bhaTake lafa.nge kuucho.n me.n luchchii galiyo.n ke chowk dekhe.n sunaa hai vo log chuus kar jin ko vaqt ne raaste.n me.n phe.nkaa tha sab yahii.n aake bas gaye hai.n yeh chhilake hai.n zindagii ke in kaa ark nikaalo ki zahar in kaa tumhare jismo.n me.n zahar palate hai.n aur jitane vo maar degaa chalo naa bhaTake lafa.nge kuuch0.n mei.n This poem was written by Gulzar in one of his journeys to Nasik from Mumbai(Bombay), in the blank spaces of `Times Of India', the only piece of paper available at that moment. This poem and incident was published in a Marathi newspaper `Maharashtra Times' on 3rd January, 1999.
