Hai ulfat ki baat.. jo tum pahle samajh jati,
Na baharo ki mahfil.. humein tanha tanha rulati,

Sitaro ki chamak.. chand aane par bhi aati hai,
Andhero me, ujalo me.. teri surat nazar aati hai,

Yoon to armano ka aansoo bhara pyala.. bhi main tod to deta,
Nazaro ki wo akhri hasin tammanaye.. bhi main chhod to deta,

Main tanha tujhse door ik pal bhi.. ab rah nahi sek'ta,
Khamoshi se main dharkanoo se tujhko.. door kar nahin sekta,

Nahi dar iska mujhko ki.. tumjhe main paoun ya na paoun,
Hai dar iska ki maujhko ki.. tujhko main bhool na jaaoun,

Main chehra tera dil mein apne.. rakh'na nahi chahta,
Teri galo ki surkhiyaan.. aansuon se bhigona nahi chahta,

Jo agar tujhko dil mein apne.. main saja lunga,
Dar hai in hatho se kahin aur.. nai duniya ba'sa lunga,

Meri bewafai tujhko.. phir yoon hi tadpayegi,
Tu chahe phir kitna bhi.. mujhe na yoon yaad ayegi,

Tujhse main apne dil ki.. akhiri har ummeed kah dunga,
Dil mein teri tasweer rakhne ki jagah main.. jaan de dunga,

Tujhe kasam hai mangti hai.. meri chaahat ki jawaani,
Pyar tujhse karta hoon.. tu de mujhko pyar ki nishani,

Haan intzaar tere ikrar ka.. mujhe sari um'r rahega,
Kaya pal pal mera tadpana.. tujhe yoon hi achha lagega,

Maine ismein apna poora haal e dil bayaan kar diya,
Tere hi intzaar ne bazaar mein mujhko badnaam kar diya,

Magar Jalna meri shailly mein.. mujhe mera naam sikhata hai,
Andhera kitna bhi ho geh'ra.. sawera phir bhi ata hai,

Andheri raah ke Deepak aur raatoun main Chandra ki tarap'ti,
Aarzoo yehi hai ki koi.. musaafir saath to de de,

Haan mujhe yakin hai tum.. mere hamsafar ban hi jaoge,
Banke sooraj tum meri roshan jindagi mein.. chha hi jaoge
