tum gae to mughe se meri khad-o-khal bhi chin gae
ik adhoora aks hoon aur aainon mein qaid hoon

mur ke dekha to darazain thin kai chehron mein
aaine mein to har aik shaks haseen lagta hai

lut gain sab khuwaishen jab aae in ke shaher mein
apne patthar se laboon ko kholna kaisa laga

kisi ki ankh mein khud ko talash kerna hai
phir is ke baad humein aainon se darna hai

kitne taweel silsile wahem-o-guman ke hain
nazuq hai dil ka aaina gham do jahan ke hain

soorat aaina hairan hai ahl-e-nazar
kabil nazaro jab in ki adain ho gain
