mother - a poem | | I am a novice to Urdu poetry and would love comments/ criticism/ editing, etc from yourselves on this poem i wrote recently: (this is my second post, the first poem i wrote was called 'janaaza mera' and was welcomed and praised by the crew, thanku for that u all) maa naa kay dunyaa may khudaa kaa dee-daar mumkin nahee magar jhalak oos kee daykhtay hay hum rukh-e-amm-mee may shaam o sahar ----------------------------------------------- khudaa kaa dee-daar = glimpe of god rukh-e-amm-mee = mothers face (translation: I agree that you can't see God in this world but we see a glimpse/ sample of his beauty in (our) mothers face morn' and eve') |
