sab se chup kar vo kisii kaa dekha achcha laga

surmai ankhon ke niiche phool se khilane lage
kahate kahate kuchh kisii kaa sochna achcha lagaa

baat to kuchh bhii nahin thii lekin us kaa ek dam
haath ko honthon pe rakh kar rokna achcha lagaa

chaay main chinii milaana us gharii bhaya bahut
zer-e lab vo muskurata shukriyaa achcha lagaa

dil main kitane ahad bandhe the bhulane ke use
vo milaa to sab iraade torana achcha lagaa

beirada lams kii vo sansanii pyarii lagii
kam tavajjo aankh kaa vo dekhna achcha lagaa

niim shab kii Khamushi main bhiigatii sarakon pe kal
terii yaadon ke jaalo main ghumna achcha lagaa

us uduu-e-jaan ko 'Amjad' main buraa kaise kahoon
jab bhii aayaa saamane vo bevafaa achcha lagaa
