ro-pehli chandni nay raat ko khuley chatt per
ada sey sotey howe baar baar dekha hay

bahaar_e subhu ki ranginiyoo.n main khoe howe
naseem nay tumhain mastana waar dekha hay

sunheri dhoop ki kirnoo.n nay baam per tum ko
bakherey gaiso_e mushkee.n babhaar dekha hay

qareeb_e shaam tumhain taairaan_e gulshan nay
hazaar baar sar_e lala zaar dekha hay

sunherey paani main chandi sey paaoo.n latkaay
shafaq nay tum ko sar_e joebaar dekha hay

hamesha raat ko mehv_e muta'ala tum ko !
nagah_e shama nay parwana waar dekha hay

kabhi jo uthi ho gaiso sanwarne k leye
tu aaine nay tumhain hum-kinaar dekha hay

kisi khayyal main khoe howe hamesha tumhain
saher nay mehv_e gull_o shaksaar dekha hay

tumhaari khilwat_e masoom nay hazaar baar
sar_e piano tumhain naghma baar dekha hay

ghata nay daman_e kohsaar main tumhain aksar
aseer_e zamzama_e abshaar dekha hay

uroos_e barq nay apna naqaab ulat k tumhain
ghareeq_e masti_e ab'r_e bahaar dekha hay

naseem_e bagh nay zaib-un-nisa samajh k kabhi
tumhain ba gull gada_e shala-maar dekha hay

gharaz mazahir_e fitrat nay har tarha tum ko
hazaroo.n baar nahi, laakhoo.n baar dekha hay

magar meri nigah_e shouq ko shikayat hay
k us nay tum ko faqat aik baar dekha hay

dikha do aik jhalak aur bas nigahoo.n ko
dobarah dekhne ki hay hawas nigahoo.n ko

bahisht_e husn ki taza kali k dhoke main
kali nay bhi tumhain, dewana waar dekha hay
