tujh se bichar ke hum bhi muqaddar ke ho gaye
phir jo bhi der mila hai usi der ke ho gaye

phir yun hoa ke ghair ko dil se laga liyaa........
andar woh nafratein thein ke bahar ke ho gaye

kiya log thay ke jaan se barh kar aziz thay
abb dil se mehve naam bhi aksar ke ho gaye

ae yaad-e-yaar tujh se karein kiya shikayatein
ae dard-e-hijr hum bhi tou patthar ke ho gaye

samjha rahey thay mujh ko sabhi nasehan-e-sheher
phir rafta rafta khud usi kafir ke ho gaye.........

abb ke naa intezar karein charah ger ke hum
abb ke gaye tou ko-e-sitam ger ke ho gaye.......

rotay ho ek jazeera-e-jaan ko "Faraz" tum
dekho tou kitney sheher sumander ke ho gaye
